block cleaning - acid bath or soda blast?

which would be the better?

before i start building up id like the inside of the block to be as spotless as i can, and obviously do it in the safest way possible.

soda blasting locally is fairly handy to get done but im having trouble finding anyone with acid bathing facilities.

so from the more experienced in the engine world, what would be the better option?

surely soda blasting will leave residue in the hard to reach places?

i was thinking this myself.

it may be my only option tho other than shipping the block to the mainland :(

to be fair i think i could buld on the block as is, id just rater it was given a through clean first
