hi its my bday tomoz and im going to treat myself to a wideband set up, which is the best value for money. i have done a bit of research and this it narrows down to the innovate lm-1 , or the lm-2 or the aem uego, you c an pick them up for around 200 also cgb does a set which is 150 but dnt know if they will be accurate. can any of these i have mentioned be used with an exhaust clip? to check other cars. i am going to use the car for track days the odd drag and fast road at weekends :D appreciate any help thanks

johnnyshaw, the aem is good bit of kit, scoff is selling it for about £165, 2 wires and it's up and running, not sure about using an exhaust clamp though.

Hi Jonny, the AEM kit is pretty good value for money. If you make a clamp up then you can mount the sensor in the tailpipe just like any other wideband kit.

nice1 so would you reccomend aem over the innovate, also whats the difference in innovate lm-1 and lc-1 other than a different guage, can more be done on the lm-1? do you supply innovate , i am wanting to buy from tomorrow with my birthday cash i get so want to make a decision asap thanks for the help

Well, you just gotta choose yourself really. The LC-1 + DB gauge kit is probably similar money to the AEM but the DB gauge looks a bit pony I think. The LC-1 controller is pretty good though. The LM-1 is a hand held, not really designed to be fitted. Good reputation, everyone's had one at some point or other. The tiny LCD lets it down a bit I'd say. LM-2 is the all singing all dancing thing (I have one :)) but honestly, it's crap. It crashes, the data logger is easilly corrupted, RPM input does not work properly, but otherwise looks the part :D

I only have the AEM, Grahame Goode racing does the LC-1 + DB gauge kits. Quality wise it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other! - both do the job well and both are equally as popular. Go for whatever you like the look of best :)

go for the aem mate! a doddle to fit as mentioned (just two wires),
interchangable faces so it will go with your other gauges if you have them?
i've not heard of one failing yet! which is not the case with the lc-1,however i've had a faultless lc-1 previously!

the lm1 works well with a passenger who watches the display and not youre driving :D
