Today I took the wheels off my Evo for the first time since I've had it (not bad going :D), and I got to have a good look at the silly brakes in all their glory. I put a gtt disk next to the front disk to see how they compare in size:

I then put the gtt disk over the Evo one:

And then I looked, and I'm going to need some new pads soon - Cha ching
It stops pretty well though :D
And a GTT doesnt weigh 1450kg :p

A set of fronts is probably more than a set of front and rear disks, and pads for a gtt :D

You should do a relevant test like measure the whole renault 5 shell against that bo ing 747 rear spoiler, i'd imagine the results wouldn't be too far off!:agree:

The spoiler weighs about 4kg - Just a bit more than a bare gtt shell (which is likely to be nothing but a pile of orange mess, after you've stripped everything off of it  )

KAD 6 pots Billy?
Aii :agree:
They're on the back as well, but not quite as big.
I like KAD brakes much better value than ap racing, probably half the price. Are they 360 mm Bill??

Half the price? The kit on my car cost £2.5k, sod the AP's then . I read somewhere that KAD use the same disks as AP.
Yep, 360mm or something like that, with 311mm on the rear.

I doubt it mate - I didn't buy it to be a track car. It might do a cheeky lap of the 'ring though ;)
Put them next to a new m3's discs and you will be in for a shock!

Why's that? They're the same size, according to this:

There both gay compared to bentley continental gt's 405 mm dustbin lids

i think evo's have special tanks with holes in the bottom, my buds old evo 4 used to cost him silly money on fuel, to the point where he had to sell it as it was costing multiple hundreds a month in fuel alone

Yea, they're silly crap on fuel. Mine's on the standard map, and it runs a bit more boost. You can see the fuel pouring out the exhaust when you boot it
When I first got it I brimmed the tank with fuel, and the light came on after 160 miles. That was just 'normal' driving :D

That's an interesting subject, that seems to crop up a lot. Apparently they're 50 litres on the 6's. However, you'll never get get more than about 40 litres in when you fill up
The tank is a funny shape though, as the propshaft goes through the middle of it. So I think that 10 litres is 'out of reach'. Then, to add to the fun, you've got the legendary Mitsi fuel gauges, which have a mind of their own :D
