Hey,

My old heatshield for the Turbo came lose and ended up resting on the turbo... And has slowly burnt a hole straight throught it. I've just purchased a new GENUINE Renault Turbo heatshield, how the f*ck do I go about fitting it tho?

Because of it's size it doesn't seem possible to just slip the remains of the old one out and then manoever the new one in? Do I need to remove certain parts to do the job correctly?

Also, anyone know what thread size the fitting bolts are cos I havn't got any on the old heatshield... Hence why it's ended up resting on the turbo.

Thankyou ;)

do you have any pics?? There should be two brackets holding it on, on at the top and one at the side. The top one should line up perfect but the side bracket might need adjusting/bending to fit flush

old bolts are m6 and the h/shield will go in with a bit of patience(and removing the exhaust/turbo actuator pipe):)

You've got to remove all the air filter & boost hosing to the right side of the engine then undo the bolts and it will (CAREFULLY) wriggle out sideways towards the Nearside of the car.

Re-fitting is the reverse of removal :D
