My local place does them for a fiver cash per wheel, thats fitted valved, balanced. The only reason they might charge you any more than that is to dispose of the old tyres. You can do that yourself for free at the local council tip.:smokin:

Place near me wants £20 a wheel. When questioned, their argument is that if they damage an alloy when fitting, they have the liability to make good.

My argument is that if you cant fit a tyre without screwing an alloy, you need a word with yourself. Jog on.

Bought the kit. Do it myself now.

£10 a wheel/tyre

More annoying i bought some 2nd hand OZ rims and didn't want the tyres, they wanted to charge me £15 each just to remove tyre and not dispose :jerkoff:

I've been going to my local alloy/tyre place for years so popped over there, gave em a back hander and they took the tyres :)

I wouldnt mind that if they had to take tyre or, dispose etc...

But the wheels i had, had no tyre's on, had mint valve's already, so all they had to do was plonk the tyre on and balance..

where i used to work was the same, your looking at 60 quid after the vat..

walk in with your wheels and ask there, tell them 30 quid or you walk, some places will open the door for you, but others will take it..

most companys try catch out there staff with spoof callers asking for uber cheap deals, cash deals, cheap runners or part worns etc, non of which they should agree to..

:agree:

When i had the Volvo 850R the valve was cracked and leaking air, popped into a small tyre shop near where i work. Wheel off, new valve, back on and £5 later i was on my way. Guaranteed the Kwit Fit round the corner would have wanted £15+ quid

when i was at merityre we'd stick the bead breaker into the tyre, remove the valve, fit a new one and blow it up... i dont even think we charged for that, more of a pop back when you need some tyres etc, which they ofted did.....and we stung them:laugh:

thats it, we did a fair amount of that, theres little point running it through the till.. we were good with people with track cars etc, often coming in for loads of change overs from slicks to wets, offroaders coming in for tubes etc.. we always did them for feck all or beer money..

you just need to get chatting to these people..

i keep one mate happy so he sort me out since i left, he's a propper chump but he fits tyres cheap:p

I sell tyres to a few forums and ost of the members have them fitted and balanced etc for £15. Most place do wheel alignment checks aswell so generally they have those done after the guys fitted the tyres.

I sold a boat load of Toyo t1r recently pm if you want a price.
