Hay all, would there be any benefit with running twin side exits? Exiting either side of the car? Has it been tried?

I did think about this a long time ago but in a slightly different way, 1 side would be unsilenced for maximum power and at the flick of a switch a valve would shift the flow out the other side by way of a silencer to give nice quite, police avoiding motoring but space was tight so the idea was canned

How tight is it mate? Would the power returns be worth it?

Nah, the power wouldn't be any different to a normal sidey, its only advantage is that it could go into stealth mode at the flick of switch to avoid unwanted attention

How James Bondish :p

I dont thing there would be any point unless you rocking a V6 or V8 but thats a hell of a lot of work just for a cool exhaust.

If you're going to have a valved/split system, why not go the whole hog and have one out of the front wing?

Nah, I would like to be able to have my external wastegate dump into the exhaust during normal driving but switch to a screamer pipe when it comes time to have some fun

That's easily do-able too. I was just saying if you were going to the trouble of putting in a valve for hooligan mode then go the whole hog and lose the system competely:devil:
