She will come round mate... it all works out in the end. Unless your me, then she attempts to kill and remove the renault passion... chews you up then spits out the bones of your once out going jolly self... ultimatly the dimise of your soul, and end of you hobby and life... then you become grumpy and old, hmmmm sounds like my new found self

Yeah I do and i'm sure it happens to us all now and again but to be honest I wouldn't want another half that was really in to cars, otherwise I'd have to find more new hobbies :laugh:

even tho i get moaned at here and there i do have to say my wife does get her hands dirty iva by cleaning parts she even done some woman hours sanding the bodykit she even done some fibreglassing :)

On a serious note, it will probably never change. my Mrs hates the 5 and takes the mick out of me, but in all seriousness, i know she's glad that's my thing, I could go out down the pub every night and drink my money away instead, or be into football and go to the match every Saturday.
Make out it could be something worse, end of the day it's not like 5's are expensive (if you buy clever)
i think its gona be her punching me in the face james in all honesty as tomorow im going cgb to get the lock then fix it, might have a look at the down pipe then im going to the match as im an Albion season ticket holder.( no comments anyone)
Then sunday im going to a car meet.
Iv got some serious grovelling to do but my fives worth it. I love my five.
Buying the 5, one of the reasons cited by the ex for the break up of our relationship. Ho hum.
My missus is pretty awesome...she's always ENCOURAGING me to have a poke about the car, go to events etc
I'm not a drinker or party animal but I really enjoy spending time tinkering with the cars, always have done. Last Sat the Ewok popped down, we had an awesome day of getting oily and getting stuck in :D
I suppose it's about moderation in the end. Most of my day is spent with my amazing 3yr old girl. Any time my missus isn't doing anything, we are usually together :)
I'm just a happy and lucky chap all round, can't complain :agree:

I am lucky, I don't have any problems. My better half is pretty understanding when it come to the cars. Helps by holding the touch until the early hours, running down the Autofactors, ordering and posting out parts. She even drivers the Turbo Extra van to some meets. Likes driving the cossy:laugh:
Sometimes my misses is great, even leant a hand to strip down the engine just before christmas and spent 2 hours cleaning the oil off of everything but then she can moan like hell and make comments about it and the fact that has spent alot of time in bits.
when we first got together she said if I ever cheat she'd cut my balls off but now she'd set fire to the 5:eek: I dunno which is worst

My mrs WAS really good to begin with then she did the stupid thing of asking what was more important, the car or her! She wanted me to be honest and lets face it, she didnt like the answer :laugh:! Now, she despises the car, despises me going to meets unless she comes (dont know how that works....)! She knows that its never going to change though :)

Finally, I get to do whatever i want, when i want. Isn't it funny when you're with someone how you can end up changing to keep them happy. Was ok with my ex wife as she let me do whatever i wanted, weekends away, club meets, curry nights, the works. Tried doing that with the ex girlfriend and it was a nightmare!

a man needs a hobby, be it the pub the match or golf, you could be out screwing around, the 5 is a good way to spend your time.
Me i work on mine on a sunday, my 2 year old helps, gives her some piece and quite, everyones happy.

I generally take my lil girl Bridie with me to Japshows etc so its family time aswell.

My Charlotte is pretty cool with my and the 5's, she enjoys going to events, enjoys going to track days & going out on track ... she even did a sneaky lap in the cup car at mallory on the way back to the camp site... that made her day.
She buys me thing's for the 5, has got her dad to lend me his barn for my cars & parts...
The only thing she wont do is help me clean the car, but other than that she is a keeper.
My Mrs hated the 5 due to the money I threw at it. She's starting to feel the same way about the Subaru :laugh:

About 5 years ago I was living with a lass and her 1.5yr old son, the 5 had four seats then, child seat in the back, used to run us about everywhere. All was good until the gearbox input shaft bearing sleeve let go and needed some work, car was off the road for a couple of months whilst I was getting the cash together to fix it, she was whinging constantly about it just sitting there and in the meantime she went and got finance on another car for herself to run about in, bearing in mind I'm the only one working.
Finally got the cash together to fix it only to be told I "wasn't allowed" use it to fix the 5 as she thought it would be better to spend it on paying one of her credit cards off, also I should sell the 5 in it's current condition so we could pay off another of her credit cards. I told her this was unacceptable, she came back with the classic "it's the car or me", I moved out the next day. The look on her face was classic. :D
Met someone so much nicer a few months later, and yeah it's about compromise, she had her hobbies I had mine, time was set by for these, and quality time was set by for each other too. :)

My birds fine about me spending my time and money on my cars,
I have always been heavily into them and she knew this from before we started goin out.
She really doesn't like the Cossie 5 but that's cos she's scared it's dangerous and I'll get hurt or in trouble with, by doin sully things, and she doesn't understand what the point of the car is, it's 'cos I can' lol
but I spend soo much time and money workin on the house and pay for most stuff she has no grounds to complain really. Lol

my misus is all ways complaining that i spend to much time on the car or spend to
much money on it. but as previously said 'modderation' is the key word.
she lets me crak on wich is good. but buy god she narf moan if im home late.
then theres the better side of her, shes had her hands in de-greaser. sprayed the inside of the car, chucked in a set of big ends.

na its not the one at Cannock its just but me on Sava centre car park its ony some little ****ty boy racer meet with there crap cars but my mate keeps baggering me to go.
may be shes coming around i had her covered in dirt and WD40 today as she fixed my door lock for me.

easy jus say to her,
'she dont moan nag or winge, when somethings wrong she lets me know not says 'im fine' she lets me get inside her an abuse her rotton whenever i want, makes all the right noises. when im done i put her away in her cupboard an i dont hear another peep from her untill i feel like it, leaving me to have a beer an watch whatevere I want on MY tv, when you treat me this good i may spend as much time an money loving you. untill then what the **** are doin away from the sink'
