you will love it, i bought my old 6 7 years ago, i loved them back then. Join the mlr, beware lots of nobs on there now, who think the evo is the best car in the world.

exhaust, air filter, pump and a re flash should see the car 350bhp, most have been done now mind.

Just be careful leaving it places, as the thieves love them, loads of lads over on the mlr will tell you that. People have sold up once there houses have been broken into for keys. Just be careful :)

Foook me that was short lived, lol.
Broke the fookin rear diff tonight, to be fair the guy did say he thought it was on it's way when I bought it... it went from a horrid grinding noise every so often on a slow right hand lock, (maybe once in a blue moon), to horrible grinding noise on both locks BADLY tonight... 2nd hand evo 7 diff please sir.. ooo that will be £500 then... I feel like I'm back in a 5 alright.. haha.
Still it does look good sat outside my house (I'm gonna feel like James when he had his car sitting out the front of his house for years :cooter: )

apparently a straight swap if you use the 'moustashe' bar, can't remember if the shafts are needed though, like I say I'll look into things a bit more, already enquired about diffs yesterday.lol.

Ok so this morning it's fine.. well until it warms up & then it's back to how it was :confused:
When it has a bit of a hard time it will sqwauk like it's got crap between the plates.. may try the AYC & diff oil change to see if it helps..

If it's making 'squawking'/donkey noises when cornering then yep, I'd change/bleed the AYC fluid first.

Mart's diff' exploded shortly after he got his, so he switched to the RS setup. There again he can afford to, he's made of $$ ;)

rs is a better car, funny less money in japan and about 2k more over here, load of lads have opted for the rs running gear. Wont help you out like ayc will.

Yeah I'll book it in, there is a place near me that can do it, £60, not that bad I suppose but I want them to do it twice for piece of mind. I'm wondering if the AYC ECU has been changed on mine, I read that some of the late 4's & early 5's had probs with these & were on recall, now I think mine is an early 5 (not got the log book here yet) & so am wondering if mine had been changed ?
Had a look today & didn't see the black dot on the sticker that MLR says it should have.... A call to Mitsi monday I think..
