Dunno what the 6 digit code will be, but they did suffer from EGR and preheater plug problems.
Or of course the loom rots out near the under-bonnet fuse/relay box.
What sort of problems is he having?
Is it a F9Q or K9K engine?

Whats the kangoo doing? is there an explanation with the code, what scanner is he using?

if it's a "p" code then it might help to look at this list:

Is it the 1.5dci, black smoke prob boost leak. can you see air flow and boost pressure on your scanner? ive got a 1.5 dci in ill try record the readings and list them for you.

I was planning on getting the data after id finished college today but my dad went and fixed the thing. so its gone unfortunately. but ill try look up the codes on our solus troubleshooter. if you could list any live data that would be handy. Is it difficult to start? takes quite a few turns? or does it start pretty much straight away. if it takes awhile to start then it could be a leaking injector. in which case you could blank an injector off (if u have the correct fittings or a spare injector) work through them 1 by 1 obviously if you blank the leaking one then it will fire much better, being able to build up the fuel pressure. injectors are pretty common on these.
