Ive seen a few sell recently some for good money others for surprisingly little.

I wonder who owns the most expensive 5.

A minty mint red one sold on PH a few weeks back for 6k

most expensive ones are either completely standard low milage jobbies or ones that have been modified extremely well in the engine department

I think my ideal 5 for top money would look completley standard and have a very powerful engine.

To answer this you got to ask 'how do you value someones Renault'

Everyones opinion on what makes a car worth more is different so bit hard to say, plus someone will always say there one is worth more than another one

Define 'most expensive'.

What if someone bought their's new for £11k in 1991. Surely that's got to be the most expensive.

You could say it's how much money people have put into their car but, some people are bargain masters and never pay full price for bits?

I would have thought that Gianni Santi has put a fair whack of cash into his car!

I've spent a bloody fortune on mine over the years but, my car isn't mint by any means.

Modifying a five is a lot cheaper for me now than it was 12 years ago, I had no internet and bought everything brand new from gt tunings catalogue

Everything i buy for the five now is either from rtoc or ebay :yeah:

Sorry but it will be the Carisma 5. They reckon £50k was put into it prior to the split rear window and garish chrome kit (acording to the mag article at the time which I have at home somewhere). So maybe £53k total thereafter. So whoever owns it now, if it still exists, can lay claim.

Not sure anyone can beat that. Maybe Stu Clarke has spent a fair whack over the years but prolly not over £50k.

Mud's car must of had a couple of quid thrown at it, and Danny's DK Developements car looks like a no expense spared project?

i agree carisma's probably had the most spent on it,i dont believe it's £50k though like the mag said,as they also quoted a top speed of 170mph!!

we dont know what stu clarke & gianni santi have spent though??

also,if we're talking most expensive as in sold for & not spent on,then b5gtt sold for something very close to £18k!!! K-tec's sold for £10-£12k also.

Danny DK has spent a MINTY MINT on that thing, shame it's never made it to a show yet lol. Adam gets regular updates on it, sounds like it's going to be mental!

I bet the carisma car didn't cost very much to build.
Unless you count labour costs but as that was done as a demo car prob out of work hours and he wouldn't have paid labour the actual cost is prob not as much as you think.
And the stereo and a lot of other parts would be foc as demo/advertising.
It might b a £50k car if a customer paid full retail and labour.

Just to put it in perspective my brake system alone cost me over £3k without any labour costs cos I built it. Add labour and that's another £1500 on top probably.
If I were to add up prices of parts alone I've prob done well over £35k without labour and most of that's mates rates to.

God that's depressing £35k in 4yrs and I'm plannin on doin loads more still.
That's a brand new evo x and change.
Or a Ferrari 355 convertible.
But no, I'm in a Renault 5.lmao
