I randomly came across this last week in the Daily Mirror...
Surely, in the greatest hot hatches of all time, a mkV Golf GTi CANT score better than a GT Turbo...7th?!! :dearme:
Ok, it doesnt help me being biased AND have not driven any of the other 9 in the 10 but not happy! :mad: lol

Well i didnt wanna come across geuninely angry, indicated by the emotion, so i have balanced that out by adding a "lol" to show some light-heartedness at the subjuct...
mate, why be so tedious in pointing that out :crap:

Some people do make the most serious of comments/statements but then use a lol to try and cancel it out and not seem serious, I wonder if lol's work down the pub?

Fair one, although it would appear the list spans quite some time mk1 golf upto mk1 focus rs.

i have owned most of those cars in that list apart from the rs turbo and the mk 5 golf and i can agree with the number one and maybe two the williams is definately the best hot hatch i have ever driven mine really was an amazing all round car,
the 205 and 5 gt turbo come a very close second. thats if i was to score but what do i know lol

I hope you weren't expecting them to be very high up? The mk2 Astra GTE had a fantastic engine but handled like London Bus! The mk3 was even worse!!

Not that its worth much but in the back of autocar magazine the mk2 GTE features in the greatest of all time, the only other vauxhall was the lotus carlton.

I remember that the mk2 GTE was always near or at the bottom of any hot hatch group test. My comment was mostly personal opinion but the mk3 gsi was horrid. I've driven both and have driven all its contemporaries of the time and liked them the least. The exception is the mk1 Golf GTI, which I have never driven.:)
