Flywheel studs???

Would it cause problems fitting the clutch to the flywheel wthout fitting the 3 locating studs?

yes...they take the main brunt or torque from the plate to the flywheel.....

the bolts are to secure it, the dowels take the twisting force

ahhh bollox, so i shouldnt run the car without them? can you get them from reno?

but all flywheel studs are the same, 5,19,clios etc.....

should be able to pick them up easy enough locally ....or mole grips and a breakers yard
