Why does the gregs logo instantly remind me of tracksuits and rothmans?

shame that the government regard bmw, audi, honda, etc as "british car makers" these days, and dont support the proper british car makers..... but hey ho:coffee:

Honda is 'British made' :)

Just like Vauxhaul, Ford, Peugeot, Nissan...

The fact that these manufacturers build here is down to the people who build them :agree:

Yea, you can argue its cheaper to do it here, save costs there but at the end of the day, the british motor manufacturering sector is an impressive juggernaut...even if we dont build a home grown mass volume car :agree::agree::agree:

Aren't Aston Martin still british made?

A mate who lives up that way and does design stuff for Jag-Land Rover said they still make them down the road. Even showed me the roundabout to turn at

Rolls Royce's are still handbuilt in Britain (Except for the BMW engines, which are built in Germany, then shipped to Britain).

RE London Taxi's - sure I read somewhere they're built in China or somewhere? Maybe not...

The iron lady destroyed industry as we know it in this country, ****ed the rail service, shut all the coal mines, ruined the steel industry

mr white
22-01-2010, 18:14
all those areas of britain that use to mine coal could have been better managed instead of leaving comunities with lots of unemployed. just think of all those call center jobs that went abroad it would have made more sense rather than paying benefits and then today we see kids in these run down areas doing things like whats in the news today. all stems back to governments policys. reap what they sow.

Being British is about driving a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then on the way home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish Kebab, to sit on a Swedish sofa and watch USA Tv shows on a Japanese TV. And most of all being suspicious of anything Foreign. Oh and... only in Britain... Can you get a pizza to your home faster than an Ambulance. Only in Britain do banks leave both doors open and chain pens to the counter. Supermarkets make sick people walk to the back of the shop for prescriptions whilst healthy people can get their Fags at the front. We might be British but **** were funny.

thought this linked in to this subject pretty well :)
