First post!

right just got my first gtt (delivered on a trailor, but fully running!) and i have a couple of questions! can someone tell me where these 2 are supposed to go to!

im thinking this must lead back to the header tank? (currently has a ford one fitted)
and also where does the small hose go that comes from the top of the header tank

and this vacuum pipe, where does it go?

Top header tank pipe connects to the degass chamber...

That yellow pipe connects to the same place...

The carb pipe is fine, possibly a bit short as ideally it should be as close to the ground as possible :)

de-gas chamber? is that the pot thing that sits on that side of the engine with the yellow hose? ive seen alot of cars running without that, so what do i do with the hose now!?

currently the small header tank hose is going to the top of the turbo??

(sorry used to playing with clio 16v's)

Does this help...the water pipes are routed correctly and the de-gass pot is behind the drivers side headlight.

The pot you may have seen removed is the breather pot...it can be removed and the breather circuit further simplified hence that samco hose poking under the brake fluid reservoir :)

so thats missing on mine then!
it currently has a ford head tank which is obviously incorrect, it has one big hose connector and one small one, the small one is currently going to the top off the turbo, which i now know goes to the de-gas pot! the big one goes to the heat matrix, so where does the other big one go? and where is the hose ment to go that comes from the top off the turbo?

(the car was left at an mot station when the mot station was broken into and all the shiny stuff from under the bonnet was stolen!)

You could have a Phase 1 cooling set up which differs slightly.

That picture of mine probably isnt the best, just have a sniff round the main files section area for more :agree:

Top header tank pipe goes to degas pot...
Bottom left header tank pipe goes to heater matrix...
Bottom right header pipe goes to the water pump...

The pipe on the turbo is a coolant pipe aswell, some people run this, others dont...the pipe on the turbo also connects at the water pump :)

Welcome to club mate :goodJob:

Little pipe from header tank - to - Top of de-gassing pot
Yellow pipe - to - Degassing pot.
Pipe thats blue looks a bit short, Is ment to go to nothing.

Get some pictures of your engine up, from a bit further back maybe. so people can veiw and maybe assist you a bit better in future or to help now ;).

The Phase 2 water pipe run, is as above in the pictures

Always remember :google: Is your freind at this time of night :wasntme: :smokin:

That yellow pipe looks like a carb base pipe fitted in the wrong place. It should go from the inlet manifold to the carb base. Maybe someone has bypassed the carb water pipes?
