Quick question for you all!
Do I need to drain the Gearbox oil to fit a new Reverse Switch???
I hope not but guess I do have to :(

Unless you can take old one out and put new one in quickly, may drop abit of oil on your hand ;)
and jack the passenger side of the car up really high...

You may get a dribble but its better than dropping the whole lot :coffee:

You will loose a little, but a rag and quick reactions you will not loose alot. Have done a few now.
I've never had to drain the 'box - As has been said, jack the nearside up as high as possible, then quickly swap over the switches.
You'll probably get away without having to top up the 'box oil as well.
but whatever you do, make sure you use a correct fitting spanner, and dont do it up too tight, as you will crack the box...errrr like i did.
Or shear it off in the box like i did :coffee: :wasntme:
