just to confirm that raider blue is 449 and there were a few shades

could this be confirmed please as i'm not with the vehicle at presant

449 is right, but there are atleast 4 shades of 449, all called 449, so no code is any good to you, you need the colour chips to compare with your car. some have the purple flip thing going on, some dont, some are dark, some are light !

yes thats cool i did think it was 449 and have told the bodyshop to get there flip book out as there are a few various shades so cheers for that i was just wanting to confirm :agree:

Mine is painted straight PR449 Renault Sports Blue & it's got a little bit of a purple flip in it.

well i just hope they get the match spot on as i know im damn well paying for it!

I take it the oval plate would only say 449? as does the log book say raider blue

And i take it Renault wouldnt have the exact paint code on the system? so how would i defo know the right variant of 449 apart from using a colour chart? and i bet even then there would be a slim chance it has all the different variants :cry:

pickin a raider up 2morrow night an gonna be booking into bodyshop soon after to sort some rust on tailgate an to be painted.. these diff shades of 449 doesnt sound good, just hopin it can be matched perfect.. good luck with yours :)

at least its not as many shades as the tungsten grey! but then i think it wont be as easy to match with a darker colour like the raider?

Got mine re-sprayed couple of years ago, was 449 Blue, quite dark blue, when got it back had a slight purple flip when the light goes across it! It went back in today to get engine bay tidied up as the engine is out, just hope it comes back all the same colour!:rolleyes:

got a tungy at the mo an where some panels have been painted in past ie passengers door, it is slightly diff an notices in the rite light.. :( so hopin the raider blue is easier to match..

thats the thing though! how do i check and will there be these different variants on there flip chart? how else can i find out :confused:

Variant number 1 is the purple flip raider blue colour.
