View Full Version : carbon fibre
Just wondered anyone know of a company that produce carbon fibre (not k-tec) was thinking it would be awesome if we could get carbon fibre roof skins and boots, but would need a group buy
you could get it wrapped? much cheaper & not much difference to look at

There's a company called Curley Mouldings in Kent, they do all the carbon fibre parts for the classic minis, mini miglia cars etc. I spoke to them a while back and they did say they could reproduce any part as long as we had an original in good condition to copy and had a specific number of people interested.

The cost will all depend on if its wet lay carbon or pre-preg auto claved stuff. Wet lay is more for looks and the pre-preg stuff will be super light.

i take it they havn't quite cottoned on to the fact that carbon wrapping actually makes your part heavier, not lighter!
rust will always be lighter than carbon fibre

got a bonnet mould for sale, cheaper than it would cost to have one made, its badboy so for a std bonnet the eyebrows would need to be trimmed off and the mould isn't perfect with a few marks but will be raised on the product but can but sanded off and polished. also this is just the outer so if a replica internal structure this would have to be made
