Some doofus has decided to click the buy it now on my car on Ebay, then turn around and say they don't actually have the money for it.
They've asked to pay with a credit card through paypal which i didn't want to do, but said OK as long as they pay the fees for it. I've now heard nothing back.

Are they liable for the fees, as it cost me £35 just for them to click buy it now :(

So unimpressed :dearme:

as long as they have a paypal account, they have to pay, you have to file an unpaid item strike through ebay, then they have a certain amount of time to either respond or pay , if they dont paypal will refund you the money. good luck mate:)

I'm going to give them till tomorrow to see if they reply and pay. I had loads of watchers and interest which is annoying too :(

Here's the link Gary. It ended as the person clicked to buy it now.

relist it , you may have people still watching it even after the auction ends, but state relisted due to a timewaster,

Thats what I was thinking :agree::)
If this person hasn't paid by the end of the day tomorrow I'll have to pop it back on and start the dispute about the money :( LONG!

Don't upset the non payer as they CAN leave you negative feedback. I got stung like this a few weeks ago. E Bay will not remove it either! I got my fee back but it was only a few quid and got negative feedback for good measure

The guy is on my saved sellers now so in a few months he'll be paid back the feedback.

As soon as the unpaid item strike started he went mad

Be careful mate. :agree:

Be careful with credit cards and paypal, I'd only sell something high value to a "verified" paypal user, there's scams going around where they pay on credit card then the money can be charged back as they claim it was a fraudulant purchase leaving you car and moneyless!

Relist it and claim the fees back!

Read up on chargebacks on paypal too!

Oh crap, I'd never heard of the charge backs before. Cheers for that mate :agree:

I'm going to relist it now as they haven't paid and I'm putting it on Piston Heads too.
