fix it and sell it, i wouldn't wish one on my worst enemy... is it the cam followers that make noise after a while, im sure lots of cars get it, saxos etc, but its a guess...

If it's like my 8 valve Fiat 1.1 FIRE engine, the cam(s) press direct onto the caps on the valves, ie, no rockers, no tappets. They have shims in there to adjust the clearance.

nice1 mate ill try and do it, its been a good car touch wood never missed a beat so far. fiat engines are either a real pain or really good engines.

probably hydrualic tappets making the noise. worth trying an oil change.

i have mate and got lucas oil in and used injector cleaner, it doesnt sound like tappets though more like an electronic ticking noise, i have read up on google put a screwdriver on the injector and listen to it, but does it really work????
