I know originally the GTT uses two lengths of copper pipe for the fuel lines that run the length of the car. Is there any reason why i cant just replace these sections with fuel pipe from pump to FPR ????

Thanks

If you happen drive over something that could damage the fuel line...copper is used on the floor pan for a reason ;)

The original lines are steel and rot. You can't use rubber all the way through as it will fail the Mot.

It makes no sense to run the fuel lines in the car unless you have fitted a cell in the car.

much better, you dont have to play with lots of bends for starters...

I take it you have done the job? I replaced my lines and it was dead simple. I don't see how you will run them through the interior without bending them either. The 2 rubber hoses are already in situ so all you have to do is run a new copper pipe and connect it. If you went through the inside you need to drill holes and make a complete new run.

done mine a while ago,was simple enough.just an idea isnt it,and if there braided lines you dont have to really bend them do you.

Copper is a doddle to bend/fit. If i was using braided hose it would need to be the pukka ptfe lined stuff (not cheap) as the cheaper braided hose gives off fumes apparantly.

you have rubber fuel lines to join the copper sections to the FPR, or fuel pump
