I am with Flux and can't fault the service or the price they have been by far the cheapest for the past 6 years. I have 5 modified cars with them, inc roll cages, engine swaps etc.

I was with them before for my 205 but this time they lost my no claims and the modified car report i had to fill out then put up my policy and took the extra money without me knowing :( as they didnt have proof of my no claims.

I use HIC https://www.hertsinsurance.com/ they've always been quite reasonable, although I did spot this and was going to give them a try next renewal http://www.richardeggerinsurance.co.uk/1_Home.html

I was left really pissed off with flux , and will never use them again c**ts that they are, I managed to get a cheaper quote from HIC and alot better customer service than the pish i got from Flux .

i had been with flux for over 7 years and never made a claim, yet they increased the premium by nearly £100 and even though i had a cheaper quote they told me they would not match it , supposedly it goes by bhp increase on a modified insurance which i thought was bollocks .. i told them i didnt know what power it was and it was an estimated guess of 200bhp

a mean are they going to take the engine out the car and put it on a dyno if u have an accident , u could just tell them whatever number came to your head first alot like the rolling roads do :p its utter bull**** .

HIC ftw

I had a similar problem with Greenlight which is why I went with Flux. Flux have never asked for the BHP, but Greenlight got funny towards the end with the engine changes. I personally think Insurance companies move the goal posts to suit themselves.

Greenlight is the only one that has came back so far £372.70 over £150 cheaper than Flux  just wait and see what the others can do now. Cheers for the help :agree:

I was insured TPF&T with Quinn Direct on my first car. They let me drive other peoples cars (as long as the car was insured by someone else), which was cool, because you usually only get that with fully comp. :)

That's how it works with my HIC policy as well. I'm only TPFT and IF I have the permission of the owner of the vehicle AND they have it insured, I can drive it. :D
