There was an R8 crash posted on Driftworks the other day, however it wasn't quite as amusing as that.

It crashed on the motorway in Germany I think, but the metal barrier speared through the front of the car and the driver lost both of his legs, luckily it missed his and the passengers heads by centimetres. The speedo was locked at 50mph, so it indicated they weren't speeding. The driver must have fallen asleep, gutted for the bloke.

maybe the r8 driver wanted to be like the veyron tool that sank his!

Either that or he was stood on the brakes, the wheels were locked and the speedo was heading for 0mph whilst the car continued to do 100mph...
