480turbo saved from the vultures

Bought mikes 37kmiles 480 turbo and prevented it from being ripped apart for an R5. Nice car to drive, about to go annoy the 480 owners site and tell them I am not keeping it OE and tuning it up:laugh:

a rare find at 37k, I would be very interested in buying this from you, obviously I would then scrap it after the engine is yanked out ;)

Pull the engine and put it in something decent, then scrap the rest of it. Im sorry but 480's are $hite cars along with most other volvos

I didn't pull it apart as I wanted to see it saved. There are not my cup of tea, but it is a very nice example of one. Look after it, there aren't that many around with that sort of mileage and condition. I didn't get a chance to get any good pictures of it. So these are the ones I do have.

Each to there own I say. I love it!
On a plus side, I will grab some links from some other sites when any 1.7 turbo engines come up for sale again. They usually go for £150 to £200 with ecus.
