Charging a Battery.

I have a few quick questions:-

1)12v trickle or 12v Fast????

2)24v?? why is there an option for thsi?

3) If hypothetically you say left your car battery in your office overnight on 12v fast charge. Would your building have burnt down by the time you get there in the morning?

2)24v?? why is there an option for thsi? lgv's are 24v

3) If hypothetically you say left your car battery in your office overnight on 12v fast charge. Would your building have burnt down by the time you get there in the morning? possibly if its an unsealed battery as they boil and acid overflows although a half decent charger wont allow this

LOL got to work today and the Battery is red hot but no fires luckily.

To be honest it was left on 12v fast charge and it says it aint complete. The battery failed on my merc ya see. i just wanted to check the battery was fooked and not the car.

You can overcharge a battery too. but a decent charger should also protect against this. , its best to just trickle for long periods or fast when you want to get it started soon and its flat.

My colt czt battery is also flat as that sbeen off the road a while. Thats one of them carbon fibre lightweight jobbies.
