New poster! (less than 10 posts)

Hi all when i bought my car there was yellow konis on it.

I tried to fit -30mm springs on to them but the springs remained loose when the strut top was replaced??

Are there different lengths of yellow konis or is it the springs???

Also i think from memory one of the adjusters on the fronts is broken off, is it possible to get these refurbished and by whom??????

Or where is the cheapest place to get new ones???

Any help would be great. Thanks

Interesting point dave, im having a similar thing with mine. I changed the springs on some Spax ( Not the bst i know) dampers aswell as replacing the top donuts. When i tightned the top nut down all the way untill i ran out of thread, there was still play in the spring, almost like the nut could of been done up tighter but not possible as i have run out of thread ?

When i bought the car it was standard height as far as i know, so i bought shocks and lowering springs.

These were a bit hard and it was rooting in the shed one day i cleaned up the shocks i had taken off i discovered they were "koni sports adjustable" so i tried fitting the lowering springs at that point and discovered the springs were short?

I am wondering if the looseness is safe and if i can get them refurbished.

ps i put spax -40 mm springs on my new konis and cut a complete 360 d coil off each spring and they still fitted tight between the spring retainers.

my springs are minus 3 inch and i had same problem,so what i done is used a zip tie to keep it seated inline,ok granted it leaves the shock when jacked right up but seats perfectly when there is weight on it and above all it wont move or twist.
