rev counter guage

hi could anyone tell me the decent makes of aftermarket rev counters and where do they wire into? THANKS

i find autogauge ones to work fine and they wire into the aei unit. very straight forward to fit.

got my auto guage rev counter does anyone know if there is a diagram for the wiring into the aei unit on this forum? cant find it

It wires into the pink wire from the AEI (on the 3 pin plug), thats the signal wire for the tacho.

thanks mate ill try that, sure mine has 2 wires though for the signal, has 4 in total, 2 for the light for the guage and 2 others

red is ignition live, black earth. then you will have a green and a yellow left. one of those goes to the AEI the other one can be left disconected as its a dimming one iirc.

the dimming one will dim the light on the gauge when the headlights are turned on, i always cut this wire off.

In that picture, on the 3 pin plug its the wire on the right hand side of the plug thats the signal for the tacho
