under bonnet pannel removel

I have no idea what its called, its not the scuttle panel is the divider between the wiper motors etc and the engine. Just when the bonnet catch is mounted.

I have seen some members have removed this, is this a good mod ie make my conversion a bit easier, bit of weight or will it effect the sturdiness up front in the car?

cant comment if its lost any stifnes or if yll notice it whilst driving as i havnt driven mine since

but engine bay looks smoother, and its easyer to change my turbo now :)

I removed mine on my old 5 a few years ago now, did make working on the engine alittle easier but after doing it i wished i never, not too sure it looked right and i got fed up of not having the bonnet secured down properly.

Plus also i remember a comment that someone posted on here (can't remember who), think of the fumes your engine produces and where they will go now the fire wall has gone, down the fan blower unit.
