ok what the best fast road and ocasional track tyre to go for ? I would love a set of r888's but as i drive 30+ miles a day and quite hard at times i cant afford to keep buying a set every month ! :)

cheapest way is cheap road tyres.......

R888 on a set of old wheels....

job done..I use the 9 every other day usually ....frt tyres inc track days last over 2000 miles....rears have done over 6000 already

hell yes...can still 3 wheel on track in the damp/wet.....

even standing water is not bad if your sensible with the loud pedal.....

on the roads....YES, they are noisy , more so when bedding in.....but really good even on B roads..

was quite impressed with the grip they had on kris m s car
on the track . might invest on a set (sell a kidney ) :crap:

plenty of the Locaterfield racers are using Stunners, no idea how they are on a 5 though.

T1R's (Toyo) are an underated tyre. They get the :agree: from me.

thinking about it (after checking prices :) ) 888 s seem to be
a waste on a road going car ,i will stick with much cheaper T1R s :cool:

Avon ACB10's are awesome, i have 7.0/22 15 which wear ok for the road and are great for the track, many of the single seaters use these as a controlled tyre so are reasonably priced for a semi slick tyre...:)
