right i have been having a right old dig about, im looking for a full cage, looked at custom cages, omp, sparco and saftey devices.

I really want a bolt in 6-10 point where the front legs come down close to a pillars and go in behind the dash, not in front next to your legs.

Omps seem a good price but i dont think this gos behind, more in front with a bit of a trim.

The problem is, im 99% sure i will be fitting the bigger 172 and do not want to trim the front of the dash would rather take it away from the back for a tidier job.

Any pictures of cages in or advice would be great.

I have my cages made to fit me and my car. They are worth every penny. Back in Feb 2007 I managed to roll one of my cars and walked away with just a few bruises.

Hey phil.
Have you spoken to custom cages? They are the 'one' to have in the MK2 golf GTI champioship and I hear good things. they sit high on the rear wheel arch and all the bars are close to the shell.
they can also supply them in bits so you weld it together. Makes it very cheap.
Maybe they sit behind the dash?

could you not get a normal fit cage and have the front legs modified. if i were me i would have the legs as they are and have additional legs connecting to the front struts.
