Right, after cleaning down Sean's car last week i went down today to try and find the source of his oil leak. Basically i have checked all oil hoses i know of and can't find any leaks.

If you look at the rad from the front of the car, both oil lines feed in the the rear of the rad on the right hand side. How is the oil then cooled? Across the whole width of the rad of just the right hand side? The reason i ask is after a run out in the car (as the leak wasn't obvious from just ticking over) there is oil dripping off the bottom of the left hand side of the rad when looking, see pic (taken under the car looking back at the rad)

I believe this leaking oil is then being splashed/blown back onto the bottom of the sump before dripping off the car in a few places, i.e. the sump plug, rear left of the sump and the sub frame.

Does any one have any idea's?

Hasn't he got a separate oil cooler?

anyways what i would do is stick that spare stand alone oil cooler we got in the unit take it for a blast then see if the leak goes away....if it does then you know the rad is fubared....

Mate,

Long time no text, How was OZ?

The leaks not as bad as it was, it might be an idea to get it down the unit for a goosey gander.

I'm stumped........but thats not hard!

Oh and it hasn't got a separate cooler
