So would it do that if you hit a rabbit, bird or bit of debris at speed?

So would it do that if you hit a rabbit, bird or bit of debris at speed?

Chances are it probably would - depending on the force of impact, perhaps not a rabbit or bird but surely if you hit a dear, and perhaps not at high speed either?

Poor f**ker though for this to happen..............i absolutley love these cars but it just shows that all the teche gadgets could prove a right royal pain the arse.........

That aside would bloody love to have one in my garage:D

God these car are not all there cracked up to be, i read this about a lad over on the mlr who had put a deposit down on one, he looked into the costs of running it for 2-3 years and it was fortunes, thousands, im sure he got the same info on buying a brand new 911 and im sure it was about half the cost.

The worrying thing is that its just your average nissan greasemonkey working on your car who has been on a course.

True, but the Nissan costs what, £60kish and the Porsche is around £110k.

My M3 Evo costs me about £1.5k a year to run, my bro's Lotus Esprit V8 costs about £3k, and that does 5000 miles a year? Fast car's aint cheap to run!

Shame he didn't bother to mention that by far the greater cost on a new car is depreciation, servicing costs are basically irrelavent. You'd easy loose £30k on the Porsche in a year if you did £12k miles in it. I aint seen a GTR for sale for £30k yet;)

Sounds to me like he couldn't afford to buy either of them and was lookin for a way out to get his deposite back, so he could buy his Evo X which is quite frankly not in the same league! ;)

So that means you buy a car for nearly half the price and expect to pay more for servicing

Agree on deprecation, the gtr has not flooded the market, and deprecation is not on how much in pound notes, its normally on the % off the buying costs, so if you loose 50% on new car over 3 years then cause a car costing 110k is going to loose a bigger chunk than one costing 60k.

as for the same league well cause evo are not, an evos 30k ish new, i know lads who have spent thousands on there evos that would embarrass most 911 and gtrs.

To me a car has to be judged on all its merits, cost, depreciation, 0-60, 0-100, handling and top speed.

Having said a gtr for 50-60k does tick every box:cool:, it does however have a nissan badge on the front :), i can not see mr banker loving his gtr as much as his 911.

If my numbers come up i certainly would not buy a gtr.
most people who buy expensive cars put them on a balloon anyway.

hehe all very true :) Pretty sure his porsche servicing costs don't tell the whole story either. I've got a couple of mates with 911's and each time they go to the garage, its a strong 4-figure number

Either way, I still think its not too much to pay for that much performance ;)

Hmm.... yeah be nice to have one, but I'd be buying something else with my money too :D:D
