at the moment I am running a 15" wheel tsw hock which I would think is a 6j wide and a 195/45/15 yokohama a539 tyres and 195/45/15 toyo t1r on the rear. When running 17 psi I do have traction problems, If I was to swap to a 13" renault 5 steel rim and run a 175/50/13 continenal sport tyre will this help me get more power down or will it just spin more?

Any input would be handy:)

You will spin more.

That tyre profile on the 13 will be worse than a 195/55 tyre.

Also, if you have 0 deg of camber or close to it, you will increase straightline grip.

at the moment I am running standard suspension legs with a 50mm drop all round but will be changing to koni or either gaz coilovers but will have camber bolts to help correct the negative camber

With those 13s wouldn't you have physically less amount of tyre contact on the road than the 15s?
