...an MOT fail ??

I wouldn't think so unless it's causing contamination of somekind that affects it from being road legal.

yes:cry:
cant remember off the top of my head but the rules sumit like
when wiped clean the fluid is not allowded to run oevr 25mm in a minute
or its a failure
thats on trucks mind but would have thought cars were the same:coffee:
My mot guy just said to me you will fail if something is leaking excessively otherwise no.
I would just use common sense,
if the sump plug is just dripping a bit it shouldn't be an issue if it's pissing out or contaminating something like the brakes e.t.c as has been said above then it would fail.
I took my gt for an mot once and the crankshaft oil seal was pissing oil out but the car failed on the fact it had sprayed all over the brake disc, so i went to the jet wash round the corner gave it a good old clean went back to the mot station and got a ticket;) even tho the oil was still leaking.

Are you talking about the Tomcat matey should be fine, my 5 had it's MOT @ KGC in the summer with a leaking gearbox, would leave a small puddle if left for sometime. They Didn't even mention it.
I am sure it will be fine,
Yeah but mine drips on the exhaust after a while & smokes a little :wasntme:.. Actually, it may only be after a hard drive though as on short journeys recently it's been fine, I know it drops some though as I see a patch on the road after parking.
Just need to get it through without fixing it as the rain is a PITA at the mo..
I think I'll ask my MOT man tomorrow
if its a fuel or brke fluid leak then its a fail.
as said be fore if after 1 minute it spreads acros a sertain area its a fail
an also if its contaninating breaks
slight seepage from powerer steering is an advisory
thats about it realy
