Zero chance of putting it back on the road, unless you ring it, which is stupidity in itself.

The breakers will get fined something silly, and your mate will be in a whole world of pain.

Strip it & scrap what's left.

not going dodgy on it at all like, but its only got 17.5k on it and has been described as putting new cars to shame, round the engine bay!! :(

That's the way it is unfortunately.

You were lucky that the breakers offered it to you for bits, as by rights that car should've been crushed to a cube as soon as the breakers had received it.
