just had my head delivered back from mr wilson up here after being sent away to be worked on and spec'd up, and managed to get another spare head just recently rebuilt all new valves, springs, the whole works done just in case the worst happens and i need another head eventually.

my head on the 9 and the new one dont have this stamp on it, but this one i picked up does....

does anyone know what this is for? never seen it before and its not on any of my other heads.

Its prob just an identification mark done when casting to show where it was manufactured. ask ur renault dealer next time ur there, they mite be able to shed some light on what the stamp refers 2. :)

much appreciated pete, i'll pop into parks renault and ask them what it means, no doubt i'll need to take the head in though, the couldnt even find my 9 on their system through the reg number yesterday:laugh:

sometimes when a machine shop works on a engine they stamp a reference
number on the component
so the no you have could indicate the heads been worked on and have nothing whatsoever to do with renault:coffee:
