does anyone have any idea what the current drain should be on a gt turbo when dormant?

mates on is 1.4 amps at the moment? does that sound about right?

That's far too high.

Last time I measured, it was circa very low mA.

well thats what i thought, new pugs at work are 0.03

that still sounds like a lot, your battery will be pretty flat after 10 days. Try pulling out fuses until it gets better, if that fails disconnect the alternator.

On a 5 should be 0.2 and lower. Has the car got a aftermarket alarm?

he found the problem... grey connector on d/s under dash was burnt out, now its sorted its ok. cheers people :agree:

Is this a common cause of current drain? If it is I'd like to know more.

Mine is so bad I've taken to disconnecting the battery if i'm leaving it for a few days.

I intend to fix it as soon as I find the time
