i tried before, but i never got it to work well. always ran a 45, or depending on cam, drilled it out to a 50.

i've just fitted one to my car and it seems to go well.with the 46 it gave a afr of 13.2-3,with the 44 it gives 13.6-7 but the problem is the manifold.i'm trying to make a small kit up for saving fuel,i wonder how many members use their car every day?

Surely dropping the co to 1-1.5% will give the same effect? Or dropping the main to 117.5 as per ph1 11t to lean out cruise afr's?

I see afr's of 14/15s even with the std .45 on cruise.

The only time ive had to change the idle jet is due to the cam.

The cam in the van seems to be fuel hungry, .50 is too much making the mixture adjustment at the end of the threads, std .45 at lean end. Im using .44 with the air correction hole restricted with wire so the mixture can be adjusted within the normal few turns..

the afr's i'm measuring are at about 1500-2000rpm...typical urban driving.if u lean off the idle screw u wont really affect the progression slot ....any way i'm going to monitor my consumption and see will the engine go even leaner without effecting drivability!

At that rpm im still seeing decent 14/15afr, even with my bodged .44 in the van;)

Is your acc pump arm set correctly? i noticed with a bigger main the fuelling goes super rich though at that point, im on stock 120main/25mm venturi.

the carb i'm using only has a new kit in it,the acc.pump wasn't adjusted.what i've noticed with the jets is they are usually drilled very rough,i have a couple of 45's and i can put a 47 drill into them(shank end of course)
