Does anyone know of any recalls on the Clutch or clutch pedal on these cars? My boss has done 22,000miles with his and its starting to slip when pulling hard mid range. I.e. when changing gear the clutch is fine but under acceleration the clutch will start to go during the mid range.
Any help would be appreciated, cheers Chris
you can wreck a clutch in far less than 22,000 miles. Especially with modern diesels that have big torque at low revs. Its probably just worn out.
Chris, I used to build them :p
There were no recalls regarding transmission probs as far as I can remember. There was a block of cars that had an issue with gearbox oil...or lack of it :scared:...
If you can get me the vin, I may be able to trace it for you...

Sukhi, i'll see if i can grab the VIN off him mate, he has the 5 door version. He's got it booked in the local Honda garage on Monday but i dont want them taking him for a ride! If i cant get the VIN would a Reg help?

Warrenty's aren't worth the paper there written on when it come's to gearbox/clutch issue's? Often only covered for 12 month's or 18k mile's :(
Unless its a known manufacturing concern thats cheaper to repair under warranty when it occurs.
Otherwise Honda would have had to recall every car fitted with the 2.2 iCDTi engine...inc your sisters CRV Chris ;) :p...
