driveshaft gaitors

hi can you buy the rubber gaitors that go onto the drivesaft at the gear box end drivers side? ive been stripping the front end down to fit wbones and poly bushes and noticed its split, if water gets in it will start knocking

there is 2 kinds you can buy the streachy kind and a glue type

i have the same problem, cgb told me the universal ones are crap and that theres three types of gaitors by renault alone, and that its difficult to tell them apart cus of the fitting lip and sizes??? is there different driveshafts?

the streachy ones are the better ones used and tried many times
but the sticky ones are a lot quicker as you dont have to remove any parts to fit them


you just rim to fit and bobs your uncle

My two penneth on universals ....one was fitted to the 21 ...lasted about 2k then fecked off spewing all the grease onto the downpipe :eek: Big smoke at some speed :D
The OE Renault one looks far more robust,about twice as rigid and no way it would stretch over the spider .Do it once ,do it right ................. time will tell :laugh:
