oil pressure guage

does it matter which way round the two wires go onto the oil pressure guage? if wrong way round could it give false readings. also should there be a copper washer in between the oil pressure unit and the block where it bolts on? thanks

yes, the wires have different functions. one is for the pressure warning lamp, the other is for the gauge.

there should be a copper washer either side of the banjo fitting that bolts to the block.
