As the title says really, really struggling to afford to keep running the car as i have gone part time at work to go back to college. Insurance is 107 quid a month and the fact that when the cars cold it keeps cutting out when i come to junctions is starting to reallllllly piss me off.. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ......................Dont get it with some of these cars i have spent stupid amounts of cash to fit a newly rebuilt engine and respray the engine bay and get it through an mot (last month) reground crank and rebuilt bottom end. New block timing chain etc etc etc reconditioned head and im still getting problems with it! Just wondered what you guys think i would get for it? i was hoping for around 3300 as it has new lump, hi spec brakes, gt2056 turbo, screamer pipe, external wastegate. good cond inside, also had it welded last month all underneath to pass mot cost me 400 quid (friend done it) i have got a brand new rear brake compensator to be fitted aswell but lately im just asking myself whether its all really worth it anymore, im starting to want a more reliable every day runabout like a golf tdi. .. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ......................the only other bad point with it is it needs a new passenger side door as some ******* broke into it by bending the door back...so if someone has a white passenger side door id be interested. sorry just gotta vent it out.

I think you need to do what ive done and buy a super cheap runner for a while, or at least over winter.

I gota saxo 1.1 for £150 with mot and tax, mint mpg etc and cheap to insure.

Once you spend some time away from a fast car i think you respect it more and obviously by driving it less, less things go wrong.
