Is it the 2wd cooler or the 4x4 cooler? On the 4x4 cooler I run 28psi on a T38 though my Cossy powered Anglia 105e no problems.

Hope this helps

Never had it on the rollers, with the T38, with the T34 it kept wheel spining in 3rd, it had 13" wheels on it. So we haven't had a good run. I would like to hope for a heathly 330 - 350. Only time will tell. I am in the proces of changing the cams, brought a RS500 style cooler and on the look out for a NO2 kit, when I get some money.

Yes it will handle more, but the charge temp will go through the roof, the 4x4 is much better, for higher boost.

What PSI it will hold before it pops?, is NOT what you need to look at (isnt the cossi cooler a full alloy cooler) im sure it will hold 50psi+ without poping?.. its how efficent its going to be at X amount of pressure etc etc...

If Phase 1 16v post some charge temps from his build then maybe thats a start?

2wd cooler is very tiny isnt it,im sure there is not a terrific amount in the capacity compared with an alloy uprated item,i would go for the 4x4.

I don't have the figures to hand, the build was about 4 years ago, but on yellows, the 15 psi on a standard T3 (270 bhp) ish the 2wd cooler worked ok, when we went to greens T34 and increased the boost to 24 psi the cooler wasn't doing its job. Fitted the 4x4 cooler which has a greater death, but same fittings and more efficient at cooling the charge temp dropped back down and the car responded well. It now has a T38 28 psi still with the 4x4 cooler, but I have put a deposit on a mates RS500 style cooler.
You can pick up the 4x4 coolers on passionford.com at sensible prices.
Hope this helps

The normal 2wd variant works fine on an R5 into the 20psi range, seen it in operation and the car was strong! couldnt tell you the Charge temps as the fella never had a guage fitted. He never had an issue with it
