I was told not to go any lower on konis on my old car due to the strut length being too long, nothing to do with the spring

ye.. the reason they probly told you not to go any lower... is probly because the shocks 'might' start bottoming out...

but J$£5GTT (http://rtoc.org/boards/member.php?u=718) has got the height that im after.. near enuf.. as long as its not any higher... js wondering how the ride is on it...

i have the minus 3 and am just using standard front shocks with no problems really,
its low an handles reasonably well, maybe i will get some coilovers in the future an get into the compression, rebound an pre-load an all that jazz but for now they work.

I have Koni custom made shocks where the shaft length is shorter and everything uprated, made by Koni Workshops specially, i have it as low as it will go on 15 inch wheels, if i turn the front wheel on full lock and look at the height between the front arch and the tyre i can not fit my little finger in that gap so its as low as you can go, i could change the side wall profile to less but then it may effect the ride comfort.
