Renault have released the dates for the WSR 2010:
2010 World Series by Renault calendar:
17-18 April Spain Motorland Aragon
1-2 May Belgium Spa
15-16 May Monaco
5-6 June Czech Republic Brno
19-20 June France Magny-Cours
3-4 July Hungary Hungaroring
4-5 Septermber Germany Hockenheim
18-19 September Britain Silverstone
9-10 October Spain Barcelona
Looks like those of us hoping for another Ring Jolly may be disappointed.... :(
Still it's an excellent opportunity to visit Hockenheim?! :D
Our WSR Silverstone has moved to September!! :sad2:
hmm interesting. Ill see how that all fits in with the other events
Spa one could work. That's a bank holiday weekend as well, hence the extra day.
Then again, Magny Cours could be good as well, and isn't the French gtt owners club ND around that time as well?
we could still do just a 'ring jolly',likewise do some new events an maybe ring trip at end of the year?
:)

I've looked for Hotels in Magny Cours and their doesn't seem to be anything either cheap or avaliable?! :crap:
Spa is looking much the same...
After looking at Ferry Costs we've ruled out Spain
Hungary & Czech Republic are just way too far & therefore costly (fuel)
Monaco....£££
So at the moment the best option is Hockenheim with a stop off at the Nurburgring perhaps??
The ring cost me a few quid ,so it depends on what is expensive ,could camping be an idea ? ?
France is the same time as my bro's wedding so no can do. Others are still an option though depending on what's decided :). We're easy and can go with the flow :)

New poster! (less than 10 posts)
September for our WSR... brrrrrrrrrrrrr - camping will be rather chilly... bet it rains too!!
Shame about no hotels for Spa... Magny Cours is known for being in the middle of nowhere with no facilities so it looks like Germany again then???

Camping is always an option but it'll take the whole club to help me twist Millie's arm to spend another few nights under canvas after our week in Tenko a while back... :crap:
:laugh::laugh::laugh:
Me-Dawny is just the same after Chodmundley ....Never again
Steve, anything that takes in Spa or Ring count me in.
Alex, if the MLR run their May bank holiday trackday @ Spa again, that would tie in nicely with the RWS weekend there.
As soon as it's confirmed, I'll give you a shout.

I'm looking into options for the Spa event at the moment & it would seem we would have to stay about 40 minutes away in Aachen to get a hotel big & cheap enough for the regulars??
It's looking like circa €300 for the hotel for the weekend but i'm trying to work a deal? ;)
Will let you know what the score is when I get a better idea?
Aachen's not a bad place to stay i suppose what with all that German Beer! :D

Are people preferring the Hockenheim option now then?
The majority had gone with Spa I thought?
I'm up for either though :agree:
Not saying I'll get my act together to actually go:ashamed: but would prefer a venue closer to a port to cut down travel/mileage. Also is there a problem with a hotel being away and then travelling on the morning? Would allow more and cheaper options.

Too many miles for the Williams - you may be looking at circa 1,800mile round trip.... we'd probs take the 197 if it was Hockenheim....

I'm happy with either Spa or Hock. Possibly both Stevie Wonder.

how do u get to 1800 miles m8?
It would work out about 1000miles for me. Its only an extra 100miles from the nurburgring.
900 miles 2008 and 750 in 2009 due to different hotel locations.
WSR Lightweights:cooter: .....Leiscester-Monza-Leicester 2005 ...... Year and Miles :coffee:

how do u get to 1800 miles m8?
From Derbyshire to Hockenheim is circa 1,100km each way plus whatever you do whilst down there - maybe another 200km... so rougly 2,400km - what does that convert to in miles anyone - so OK, it's 1,500 miles then.... slill a bloody long way....
i think if theres mega miles to be covered then we should go for an extra day or two as opposed to ring trips before, its not the gunball is it !!
:p
i have sent txts out to those up by me and of the ones that want to go we have booked into the hotel rieder on the 3,4,and 5th sept http://hotelrieder-en.basiccms.de/index.html where we stayed this year.on the hull ferry thursday sept 02nd back on the 07th...anymore takers just call me or get booking yourself...:agree:
