How many miles does everyone do in their Renault turbos each year? and how much does it cost you?
I ask because over the weekend i sorted out all my bills and receipts for THC.
Ive kept every thing since i bought the car, from screen wash to new oil pump, from MOT costs and insurance to full respray. They add up to £788 parts. £1386 for insurance/mots/tax, £1900 respray and i reckoned up about £1000 for ebay and cash purchases. That's £5574 including the cost of the car (£500).
Add on petrol at (ave) £1.10/ltr @ (ave) 25mpg, over the last 4 years ive done 52,000 miles = approx £10,296 petrol.
That's a total of £15,870 / 52k miles = 30p per mile.
30p a mile! that's cheap! a lot cheaper than i'd imagined. It compares with your average modern family hatch costing 12-14k, doing 30k miles/year-

Not bad for a 24 year old turbo car that i treat like death. 'cheap' smiles for miles!
