View Full Version : Anyone in NW london who can setup my carb??

Ok... i had a group A carb but have taken it off and replaced it with a carb i got from another R5 from the scrappy :eek: ... anyway.. i dont know much about this carb... all i know its not a group A as it looks like the venturi is std size..

I dont know jack about carbs.... is there anyone who is in NW London or near where i can go or anyone willing to help ???? i dont wna blow a head gasket so im leavin it at 15 psi so far :cry:

i would be happy to help but you really need a afr meter. if you had one i could set it up for you. either that or get it to a rolling road, but the cost of a rolling session will nearly cover the cost of the afr anway and with your own meter you can always play with the carb if you want to change the boost.

where would i get one from?? and how much?? i need some direction! lol....

i just want my boost setup for about 23 psi.... then in a while...(when i get some new jets for my w/i) set it up for a lil more...

Where abouts are you?? are you good wiv carbs?? cos i dont have a clue with all these jet sizes n enrichment circuits :P :confused:

have a search on here regarding afr's as there are differant types and we could be here all night typing well document info thats already written. are you still running a stock T2 as you will kill it in no time with that sort of boost.

no no.. i got a t28 wiv chargecooler n intercooler.... (eventually wana hook up my water injection again.. but i need new jets cos old ones are too big and fecked)

you could always try power engineering as ian will set it up for you.

I was just going to suggest markey Mark but I am a little slow, but he can setup your carb for you for the boost you are wanting to run, he has the LM-1 that he will stick up your dirty pipe and see what's WOT.:eek:
