View Full Version : wheels not sat right?

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

right ive got a problem with my wheels/chamber my nearside wheel is in line with the arch and offside is sat right inside the arch looks about 1-2 inch differance and its really doing my head in now :scratch: ive even taken my coilovers off n put standard shocks/springs back on and still the same any ideas what could cause this prob? cheers

Have you changed the track control arm recently? top mounts on correct? get some pics up.

possibly a mix of PH1 top mount and PH2 leg? Have you got a R11 wishbone mixed in?

are they the original wheels or new wheels to the car? could be a mix of off sets

i'll take some pics when i go back to the car and put em up later, its on standard alloys and i've replaced just about every part wishbones, ball joints etc etc only thing i havnt changed is parts at top of struts but i took this engine and subframe etc out of my white r5 (didnt have this prob in that car) and put it in my grey 1 now its all pissed :cry: cheers for the replies aswell :)

if ya got a pair of new wishbones from gsf, you have probably been given a clio one and a gt one. Dont try and drive it cos it will try and throw the engine out of the bay.

Had this prob on a mates car, we changed the wishbones & one was longer than the other.... it's a known prob but I thought it had been sorted ??

cheers guys now sorted it was 1 of the wishbones i changed lol
