Progress is slow, i`m tinkering with interior bits and bobs until i get some time off work to pull the engine out of the tungy.

Some parts are also for sale, like the white open mouth grill, loads of parts off the tungy, OEM Hoses - used and new, Decarbon suspension... and so on :)

i`ll keep a record going of progress, hopefully it`ll not be painfully slow

There's something about seeing a selection of brand new car parts still in bags, laid out in a neat pile, that is almost pornographic!!

Looks like a top project. Look forward to the updates:agree:.

Ollie, that "uprated" oil pump you have dont use it, Its a campus pump. Where did you get it from ? Alot of tuners used to sell them as uprated when infact they couldent be more opposite!

See here

Because back in the day all tuners were selling them as uprated ones so still following suit

Wonder how many engines he and other tuners have messed up?Saying that it creates more buisness for them when the customer comes back to them with a busted engine. :sad2:

thanks for the heads up guys :)

really appreciate the advice :) wheres the best place to get either a new or overhauled pump then?

nothing worse than spending the cash and building the engine right to have it die :(

out tonight, slow slow slow, i really need the engine out of the tungy so i can get cracking at it.

stupid things like fitted OEM fogs in the bumper, removed the oem unpainted grille and put the open mouth back on, and refitted some amber indicators in the front instead of the clears.

i`m sick of stonechipping / undersealing so i`m doing something else for a wee while then i`ll go back to it.

plus jamies impreza is still in bits and taking up valuable working space :(

and check the reflection of the light... the haze is pre paint cleaner... and the shiny bit is after, this was just the bonnet.. the whole car is that flat!!!

OLLIe

engine is now out and fully stripped down, ready for an epic clean, check and then the rebuild will begin with all new parts.

still needing some parts tho :

Crank (not essential but i`d like a new one)
lightened flywheel
i`m probably gonna buy a head thats already been fettled. missed a few from CGB recently
I need an adjustable Vernier - i cant find mine, but i do have a nice cam
Samco or Similar hoses
Rocker cover - black or chrome or whatever, as long as its mint

and some other powdercoated engine brackets :

http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m8/olliecrx/gtt/48.jpg
