i've figured out where all these wires go... one is for reverse switch the other is a live for fuel pump relays. the one near alternator seems to serve no purpose..

however i still cant get it to run.. i've connected thick grey wire to live. red/grey to fuel pump etc.

if i put a little petrol in the inlet it fires right up..

is there anyway of testing the injectors? also the fuel pump wont come on unless i put an earth on the bottom of one of the relays...

anyone ?? i'm going out of my mind here!!

i've ordered a crank sensor and cleaned all the earths up.. it started today. got it warm.. all seemed fine.. started it a few times... no problem... left it for an hour or so.. nothing... the petrol i used in my makeshift fuel tank is rather old... so that may not help... i've not checked for water but it doesnt steam when running... once i've got the fuel pump plumbed in properly and a new fuel filter i think it'll be ok...
