View Full Version : Any Virus Software Recommendations??

My father needs to either renew his McAfee account or get some different virus scanning software.

Thing is McAfee doesn't half slow things down & I think is a bit :crap:

I remeber their being a link on here before about a good free one which come recommended but I can't find it now??

Any suggestions all you Techy types?? :D

I use Avast at the moment. Have used AVG in the past. Heard good things about Kapersky :agree:

Honestly, I would go for Microsoft's own product http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/. It doesn't seem to take up as much resources unlike other AV products and it actually does a good job at protecting your system with minimal fuss. I've been using it for a while now as an upgrade from Sophos and I'm more than impressed with the results.

As peeps say AVG 9 :) Its also works with Windows 7 :)
